The 3 Most Important Things About "Farm Area Marketing" & Advertising:

Remember that "farming" is not really about a "quick and easy sale" - it's about building relationships and building a long term "referral based" based business and trust with the community - those who live and work within your farm area.

You need the 2 "Q's" of advertising and marketing in your farm area: quality and quantity!

1. Quality:

No matter what type or method of advertising you are using, also be sure to employ quality!

People are used to getting ads in their mailboxes. So try to focus your marketing in your farming so that it benefits your recipients instead of yourself.

Give them something they can use like; quality information: tips on buying and selling, mortgage info, personal safety, money saving coupons, household cleaning tips, house improvement tips, useful resources, local information, anything else that might interest your target audience.

Also, take care with your advertising materials. If you use flyers, brochures, postcards, etc... Then please don't use cheap paper and low-quality ink that gets on people's hands or looks unprofessional.

2. Quantity:

In some cases "less is more" but that's not the case when it comes to farming! You need to get your name and image out there to as many prospective clients as possible, as often as possible, and for as long as possible!

People don't sell houses everyday and they don't it without lots of thought about it first! You need to make sure "your name" is in from of the people as often as possible and for a long period of time. You don't just market to your farm area one month a year - you do it all year long.

When someone in your farm area finally starts thing about selling or buying a new home - you want them to have your name "STUCK IN THIER HEAD!".

Just like you may have "McDonald's" each time you think having a hamburger!

Training Article Summary...

Long Lasting Business Relationships, Repeat Business, and Referrals! That's what "farming" is all about. It's not about a quick sale today, it's about "planting the seed" for tomorrows success!
